The Cleaner is entrusted with maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and operational standards of the SunBet retail facility and associated areas. This role is integral to upholding SunBet’s expectations for operational excellence and compliance with established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Facility and Equipment Maintenance
- Ensure all spaces and cleaning equipment are well-maintained and functional.
- Use a variety of cleaning tools and supplies for sweeping, dusting, and mopping.
- Regularly vacuum and shampoo carpets, ensuring they are dry before operational hours.
- Clean windows, kitchen areas, and restrooms thoroughly and according to hygiene protocols.
- Replenish consumables such as towels, soap, and toilet paper in restrooms.
- Manage cleaning chemicals and inventory, ensuring safe and appropriate usage.
- Routine Cleaning Duties
- Wipe down desks, chairs, walls, doors, and decorative items with suitable cleaning agents.
- Remove trash and empty ashtrays, ensuring correct disposal procedures are followed.
- Set up tea stations and properly store crockery.
- Clean soiled equipment and report any breakages or maintenance issues.
- Complete end-of-day dishwasher maintenance.
- Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Adhere to health, safety, hygiene, and environmental regulations.
- Use and store cleaning and operating equipment according to safety guidelines.
- Promptly report or resolve any anomalies or maintenance concerns.
- Client Interaction and Service
- Greet and interact with clients professionally, ensuring respect and a positive experience.
- Address client complaints, requests, or suggestions, escalating as required.
- Provide service in alignment with professional standards and operational expectations.
Minimum Requirements
- Education
- Grade 12 preferred; Grade 10 with at least two years of relevant cleaning experience will be considered.
- Experience
- Previous exposure to office, facilities, or retail environments is advantageous.
