Benefits for Teachers and Schools
Teachers have different things to do and find it challenging to meet the diverse needs of their students. With the help of young assistants under the YES Programme, teachers can focus more on individualized learning, class work, and maintaining a favorable learning environment for all students. The program helps the teachers to lighten their administrative load, give more one-on-one attention to the students, and adopt more innovative modes of teaching.
Also, the schools benefit from the additional support in class. With additional one-on-one support, students who need extra help are able to receive it, and teachers have more time to focus on planning and preparing high-quality lessons. The program enhances the overall learning environment and increases the student-teacher relationship, creating a more effective and supportive learning environment.

Youth Development and Skills Building
The Teachers Assistant YES Programme not only benefits the schools, but also provides invaluable personal growth and development experiences for the youth involved. The youth gain hands-on experience in the field of education, which can guide their future academic and career paths. They gain useful skills such as communication, team work, time management, leadership, and problem-solving.
Through class support, youth also gain knowledge on responsibility, work ethic, and empathy. They become aware of the struggles teachers experience daily, and in so doing, they get insight and increased respect for the teaching profession. Students enrolled in the program also have an opportunity to interact with other diverse groups of people of different ages and backgrounds, thereby experiencing inclusiveness and widening their outlook.

Students discover that they are passionate about education and decide to become teachers, counselors, or pursue other fields of education.
