General Worker Scaler at Premier

Let’s be real—food doesn’t just magically show up in your pantry, all fresh and flawless. There’s a whole army of folks behind the scenes, and at Premier (one of South Africa’s big dogs in the food game), the General Worker Scaler is basically the unsung hero. No cape, just a scale and a sharp eye.

So, what’s a General Worker Scaler, anyway? Picture someone who’s got to be super precise—like, weighing out raw ingredients down to the last gram. No eyeballing it, no “close enough”—they’ve gotta nail those measurements or the whole batch could go sideways. It’s not just about tossing stuff on a scale, either. There’s this whole routine: prepping ingredients for the mixers, keeping the workspace spotless (no one wants a side of germs with their bread), and flagging anything weird with the materials or machines. Sometimes, they even pitch in with hauling stuff around—loading, unloading, you name it.

Premier’s pretty obsessed with quality—seriously, they don’t mess around. So, if the Scaler slacks off or fudges the numbers, it’s not just a minor oops. The whole production could get messed up, and nobody wants to deal with angry customers or wasted dough (literally). Bottom line? This gig is all about keeping things consistent and safe, so your food tastes right every single time. No glory, just pure hustle.
