Job Overview:
Being a Warehouse General Worker at Danone, you will be an important member of our warehouse working crew. You will ensure safe and careful handling of goods and products while receiving goods, stocking goods, and dispatching goods in order to meet Danone’s high standards of quality and safety. It requires physical fitness, hard work, and proactivity to help achieve the smooth operations of our warehouse on a day-to-day basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving and Storing Goods: Assist in offloading trucks, inspecting incoming deliveries, and storing merchandise in the warehouse properly.
Order Picking and Packing: Package and pack merchandise properly according to order information, preparing products for shipping in a prompt manner.
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, including regular stock counts and correct organization of merchandise for easy access.
Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and secure working environment according to safety standards.
Loading and Unloading: Load products onto trucks for delivery, with care to avoid damaging them.
Compliance: Comply with all Danone health, safety, and quality practices in product handling and warehouse machinery operation.
Team Collaboration: Work with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure smooth and seamless operations.
ACADEMIC AND TRADE QUALIFICATIONS:
Matric or equivalent
WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Six months to one year experience in a FMCG environment
